About

Some traditions never die.

Band clubs are part of the Maltese community. A place of music, familiar faces and stories passed down through generations. But this one has a story nobody dares to tell. Behind the doors of an old house, the club is gathering once again. The committee is expecting you. The musicians are taking their places. And somewhere inside, someone is calling the meeting to order…

There’s just one problem. None of them should still be here.

This year, Terrur Festival brings a chilling twist to a beloved part of Maltese identity. Step inside a haunted band club where live actors bring its strange members and unsettling secrets to life. You have been invited as a visitor, but the committee may have other plans. Children may enter accompanied by a parent or guardian. Gather the family and discover who, or what, is waiting inside.

Terms

1. Nature of the experience

The attraction includes live actors, sudden scares, unexpected sounds and dimly lit spaces. Although children may enter with a parent or guardian, the experience is designed to be spooky. Admission of children does not mean that the experience is suitable for every child. Participation is voluntary. Every participant may ask to leave the activity.

2. Children and supervision

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the experience. The accompanying adult must remain with the children in their care, supervise their behaviour and ensure that they follow staff instructions.

Parents and guardians should consider each child’s age, temperament and sensitivity to frightening situations before booking. Children must not be pressured to enter or continue if they are distressed or unwilling.

3. Health and suitability

The experience is not recommended for anyone with a health condition that could be aggravated by sudden scares, loud sounds, or darkness. This may include heart conditions, severe anxiety, panic attacks and claustrophobia. Pregnant visitors and anyone unsure about their suitability should seek medical advice before participating.

Do not enter if you feel unwell. Inform staff before entry if you or a child in your care requires assistance, without disclosing more medical information than is necessary.

4. Access and footwear

The attraction takes place inside an old house. Visitors must take care around thresholds, changes in floor level and any steps or uneven surfaces along the route.

Wear secure, comfortable footwear.

5. Bookings and arrival

Attend at the date and time shown on your booking and allow sufficient time for the safety briefing. Have your ticket or booking confirmation ready. Entry is controlled to manage capacity.

6. Behaviour and respect

Follow staff instructions and treat actors, volunteers and other visitors respectfully. Do not touch, grab, push, strike, threaten or verbally abuse anyone. Being frightened does not excuse unsafe behaviour.

Do not touch, move or damage props, decorations, instruments, furniture or other items on display. Parents and guardians must ensure that children in their care observe these rules.

7. Moving through the attraction

Walk carefully, remain with your group and follow the designated route. Running, pushing, climbing, hiding or entering restricted rooms is prohibited. Keep doorways, passageways and exits clear.

8. Mobile phones and recording

Keep mobile phones on silent and put away during the experience. Photography, filming, audio recording, flash and personal torches are prohibited unless staff authorise their use for safety.

9. Prohibited items and admission

Smoking, vaping, alcohol consumption and illegal drugs are prohibited inside the attraction. Weapons, sharp objects and other items that could endanger visitors or staff must not be brought inside.

The organisers may refuse admission or require someone to leave where their behaviour, intoxication or failure to follow instructions creates a safety risk.

10. Leaving early and emergencies

Any participant may ask to leave at any time. If you or a child in your care becomes frightened, distressed or unwell, inform the nearest actor or staff member immediately. Staff will provide directions to leave safely.

Do not run or attempt to find an alternative route yourself. In an emergency, follow staff instructions promptly. Report any injury, incident or hazard as soon as possible.

11. Personal belongings

Bring only essential belongings and keep them secure. Avoid bulky items that could obstruct the route. Report lost property to staff. The organizer are not responsible for any lost or damaged objects participants bring with them.

12. Interruptions and cancellations

The organisers may pause admission or interrupt the experience where reasonably necessary for safety or an operational emergency.

If the organisers cancel a booked session and cannot provide the experience, participants will be offered an alternative session or a refund for the affected ticket. Any additional cancellation or refund conditions must be clearly communicated before purchase and remain subject to applicable consumer rights.

13. Acknowledgement and responsibility

Participants acknowledge the frightening nature of the attraction and agree to follow the safety rules and take reasonable care of themselves and others. Parents and guardians accept responsibility for supervising the children in their care.
