Terms

Please read these terms before booking and entering. Terrur is an intense live horror experience inside a historic underground WWII shelter. These terms apply to every participant.

1  Nature of the experience

The experience includes live actors, sudden scares, disturbing scenes, loud and unexpected sounds, darkness, low lighting and flashing lights. The underground setting contains confined spaces and uneven ground and may feel warm or stuffy. Participants should expect an experience designed to cause fear and distress.

2  Age restrictions

Children under 14 are not permitted to enter. Participants may be asked to present valid identification confirming their age. Admission will be refused where the minimum age cannot reasonably be verified.

3  Health and suitability

The experience is not recommended for pregnant participants or anyone with a heart or respiratory condition, photosensitive epilepsy, severe anxiety, panic attacks, claustrophobia, or another condition that could be aggravated by the environment or effects. If unsure about suitability, seek medical advice before booking. Do not enter if you feel unwell. Inform staff before entry if you need assistance, without disclosing more medical information than is necessary.

4  Access and footwear

The historic shelter has uneven surfaces and confined passages. Wear secure, comfortable footwear suitable for uneven ground. Move carefully, remain on the designated route and do not run, push, climb or overtake other groups.

5  Bookings and arrival

Attend at the date and time shown on your booking and allow enough time for the safety briefing. Capacity is limited and entry is controlled.

6  Behaviour and respect

Follow staff instructions and treat actors, volunteers and other visitors respectfully. Do not touch, grab, strike, threaten or verbally abuse anyone. Do not touch or damage props, exhibits, equipment or the shelter structure. A startled reaction does not excuse unsafe behaviour. Anyone behaving dangerously or disruptively may be refused entry or asked to leave.

7  Prohibited items and activities

Mobile phones must remain switched off or on silent and put away throughout the experience. Photography, video recording, audio recording, flash and personal torches are prohibited unless staff authorise their use for safety. Smoking, vaping, alcohol consumption and illegal drugs are prohibited inside the shelter. Do not bring weapons, sharp objects or items that could endanger others. Entry may be refused where intoxication or impairment creates a safety risk.

8  Leaving early and emergencies

If you feel distressed, unwell or wish to stop, tell the nearest actor or staff member immediately and follow their directions to leave safely. Do not run or attempt to find an alternative route yourself. Keep exits and passageways clear. In an emergency, follow staff instructions promptly. Report any injury, incident or hazard to staff as soon as possible. Fees are non refundable.

9  Personal belongings

Bring only essential belongings and keep them secure. Avoid carrying bulky items that could obstruct narrow passages. Report lost property to staff. Staff/organisers are not responsible for lost items.

10  Interruptions and cancellation

The organisers may pause or stop admission, or interrupt the experience, where reasonably necessary for safety or an operational emergency. If the organisers cancel a booked session and cannot provide the experience, participants will be offered an alternative session or a refund for the affected ticket.

11  Acknowledgement and responsibility

Participants acknowledge the nature of the experience and agree to follow the safety rules and take reasonable care of themselves and others.

Participant declaration
