Joseph Calleja’s Christmas Concert is back, and this year Malta’s world-famous tenor is sharing the stage with two international stars: Italian singer-songwriter Claudio Baglioni and soprano Sarah Brightman. The concert is on Friday 18 December 2026 at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali.

Three voices, one night

The programme brings together opera, much-loved Italian melodies, timeless classics and festive favourites. Calleja is joined by Baglioni, one of Italy’s best-known songwriters, and by Brightman, whom the organisers bill as the world’s best-selling soprano. Three very different voices on one stage make this one of the standout nights of the Christmas season in Malta.

Orchestra and choir

The three singers are accompanied by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the musical direction of Paul Bateman, alongside Adriano Pennino and Kevin Abela. The BOV Joseph Calleja Children’s Choir, directed by soprano Gillian Zammit, also takes to the stage for a festive touch.
