The Muay Thai Grand Prix (MTGP) is coming back to Malta for its 2nd edition on Friday 27 November 2026 at the Ta’ Qali Basketball Pavilion. Organised by Malta Fight Co., it is a full fight night of Muay Thai, kickboxing and boxing, with international fighters taking on local favourites and championship belts up for grabs.

What to expect

MTGP Malta is built around a multi-discipline fight card, so one evening covers three combat sports:

  • Muay Thai, the stand-up art of eight limbs that gives the event its name
  • Kickboxing (K1 rules)
  • Boxing

The headline attraction is the championship action: World and Mediterranean titles will be contested on the main stage. The organisers also promise a big light and sound production to give the night a proper fight-night atmosphere, rather than a plain sports hall feel.

For Maltese fight fans it is a chance to see local talent tested against international opposition on home soil.
